Criteria CaixaCorp is committed to combining the financial success of the company with sustainable development, which means taking decisions based not only on financial criteria, but also on the social and environmental consequences of our actions.

Criteria has been working with commitment and this is the reason why it has recently been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), the leading global ranking of companies that apply best practices in relation to corporate responsibility.

It is a voluntary initiative that goes above and beyond legal and statutory requirements. We must endeavour at all times to raise the awareness and commitment of our employees and directors as regards the correct application of the rules governing business ethics and integrity in all the business we undertake.

With this in mind, we share the principles of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and underscore our commitment to working along these lines.

Moreover, our vocation to serving society - a long-standing hallmark of "la Caixa" and part of our identity - is reflected in our activities, as we help basic services companies grow and contribute value for the benefit of society.

The recent incorporation of Criteria in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), the leading global ranking of companies that apply best practices in relation to corporate responsibility, and an index that values financial performance as well as the environmental and social dimensions of business management, bears witness to the company’s commitment to sustainability and corporate reputation, in both its daily business and the investments it has made.
